The Elim Pentecostal Movement is in existence for 100 years, as of the year 2015. 
It began when God moved in the hearts of George and Stephen Jeffreys during
the the first period of the Welsh revival in 1904 when George was 15 years of age.

Rather than retell the details, Elim’s historian, who since
has passed away, wrote an article recalling the details of the history.

At the helm of this move of God and the establishment of the Elim Movement was George Jeffreys.
Jeffreys told of how this move came out of two things: A prophecy and the determination of a
few committed believers.

Today Elim has over 600 churches in the UK & Ireland and over 9000 worldwide.
Although Jeffreys was an outstanding evangelist and church planter, Elim grew rapidly thanks to a
move of God characterised by miraculous healings and an explosion in the number of people
becoming Christians.

This heritage has guided Elim for nearly a century.
